Check – in or Web Check – in is a facility by wherein which you can confirm that you will be travelling on a flight online, preferably through your web browser on your computer or by your phone. This allows you to print your own boarding passes and eases up your travelling process. Here, you can also select other important details like your baggage quantity, if you would be checking in some luggage, and other stuff like your seating preference and meal options. This boarding pass will have all the necessary details, including a bar code which will have the necessary reservation. At the airport, you won’t have to necessarily stand in ques, go through check – in counters. Instead, you can directly head for the routine security check ups, after which you will continue towards the corresponding gate and board.
Canada’s two largest airlines are using an airfare prediction app to unload some of their seats via “secret fares” at discounts of up to 35 per cent.
Air Canada and WestJet are among the first global airlines to make their flights available for the large discounts, starting Wednesday.
Montreal-based app developer Hopper said other airlines such as LATAM, Turkish, Copa and Air China will be joined by other carriers in the coming weeks.
